This practice will have some focus on asana which stimulate & the liver and gall bladder meridians or Nadis. Spring Yin (the Wood element) is about bringing some harmony to the elements that drive you forward again in life, after the retreating energy of the Winter. In Chinese Medicine, the Wood element represents new beginnings, drive and fresh ideas. Fear, anger, resentment and a judging mind are all emotions known to affect the functioning of the liver and gallbladder.
- Yin can assist to release fascia (connective tissue) to Increase circulation & Improve flexibility.
- When you stay quietly, without force, in an asana tuning into the breath the body’s sensations begin to make themselves known
- This awareness can help us feel where in the body the emotional energy is being held
- We will also explore some restorative asana.
